The Idea of establishing a high-tech comprehensive heart center in jalandhar was conceived when my worthy father, S. Gurbaksh Singh suffered a cardiac arrest on 22 nd June 1989 and could not be saved for want of adequate medical help. The agony of losing him strengthened my resolve to raise an institution that would serve as an oasis for heart patients in this part of the counry.
